Safaricon is well within the legal framework to offer just about anything under the IT sun. That's thanks to the Unified Licensing Framework adopted by the CCK. So yeah, just like Scangroup is taking over advertising and corporate communications (some say unfairly), some smaller players may be soon out of work.
This is Kenya, A SERVICE INDUSTRY, meaning we can become anything we want.
It is as easy as seizing an opportunity and then getting a permit to do
so.
As long as they are employing people and making their lives better,
where's the harm.
If you feel they are crouching into your space, then that is a good time
to re-invent your trade. That way we are bound to grow as a country and
possibly get somewhere.
Just my 2cents.
