
Personally I see NFC as an over hyped technology, It does nothing new, you still need the tills, you still need to go to the counters and for all intents, it only saves a couple of seconds (swiping vs NFC'ing), It also requires a substantial amount of capital outlay to roll out with little in terms of value proposition. my 2cnts.
