Tony,

If you have a 020 -xxx-xxxx, then please go to any Orange Care Centre and get a GSM SIM card issued for that number immediately. After 31st, those which will not have been migrated will just cease, and I can tell you they feel nothing.
Even if you plead for reactivation, they won't listen. I wonder how Orange will even survive. How do you turn away money and still say you are in business?

Technically, CDMA and GSM technologies are distinctly different from each other. Forget about the unintended confusion caused by the names CDMA and WCDMA.

As such there's very little if any that can be salvaged from one network for use on the other.

BTW : I'm one of the few loyalist who actively maintain a CDMA line (Telkom Wireless) for voice/SMS communications. I'm yet to receive any communication from Telkom-Orange advising on the migration options

Tony.
