Hi Tony as for now i have only 1 piece which i want to test out before investing some cold hard cash on it , the difference is really as u see it HDD bay will need more power but they have the same number of HDMI ports , so far andriod functionility is good , it can do upto 1080p display but not sure it has issues when connecting to my HD projector , but 3D experience after upscale is good (using the projector) , i am awaiting the ATV1600 with dual core and maybe get he airmouse option the remote takes abit of getting used to but i hooked up my wireless keyboard and mouse and worked like a charm , more to come once i hookup and start getting channels Regards GG On Mon, May 27, 2013 at 4:41 PM, Tony Likhanga <tlikhanga@gmail.com> wrote:
Great!
So does that mean you have a number of pieces in stock? If not, I'll get in touch off-list to explore how I can get one of the boxes I've been eyeing for a while.
I made some comparison of the ATV4000B & your box, both in passing & with the aid of this<http://www.geniatech.com/news/newsletter/android-tv-box-comparison-table.html> . There's some delta on the extra HDMI port, a HDD slot, input power rating options, and the HDMI firmware version. Care to explain your rationale for opting to go with the ATV1100B?
Back to your initial query... there could be a few resources on the DVB-S related DIYs previously shared on this list; I'll check then revert as necessary.
