I think innovation is not limited, or is it? Otherwise. the equipment is yours as long you claim ownership. How many of us, for instance, use our custom made screensavers on our comps? Does it constitute to crime?
.....I think the 3G router that Safaricom sells is not SIM-locked, or so the archives of this list says:).
