[Skunkworks] patent of ideas locally

Hey Skunks Now that all the major players are sueing each other over infringment i.e. apple, samsung, android, Microsoft etc how does one go around patenting ideas/concepts locally. This is given that .ke is fast becoming an innovation hub I'm just wondering is there law/body that can protect the community? ./TheMburu -- Conservatism is the adherence to the old tried against the new untried.
