Personally I would be one of the Bandwidth hogging culprits, On average a month I use up about 15 to 20 GB of bandwidth. I subscribe to some HD quality screen casts each is about 1GB and an hour long. I do ten to 15 a month. Since I am mostly working when my favorite programs are playing I opt sometimes to watch them at a more convenient time on hulu. Then there are the numerous podcasts I listen to while working or just relaxing at home. Then theres the normal email and web surfing (including posting data to websites, blogs etc) That in itself is about 3GB a month. With that kind of usage, I dont think there is any bundle that would suite me unless I change my online habits and thats why the fair use policy makes sense to me. We've always been talking about the high expectations of internet costs coming down as a result of the fibre. So when this does not seem happen, we've been looking at the services with close scrutiny. Probably there dynamics that have hindered this from happening and I would not pretend to understand any of them. I think someone would probably agree with this - and many disagree. The service providers would seem to be the first ones on the receiving end in all this and it would be quite difficult to meet people's expectation in such an environment. That said, I think this is the point I also do agree with Joseph, whereby this scrutiny becomes suspicion; if I get exited that I have an unlimited offer that's appealing, and overlooked the details, (devil in the details...) which an average person does, I'll become disappointed.
