For individual users, you can go for the SAS Enterprise Guide but for collaboration purposes you will need to include the server. Alternatives; you can consider IBM SPSS or Stata. R is also an option if the users can roll up their sleeves and get coding. On Tue, Sep 15, 2015 at 3:49 PM, Eva Kimathi via skunkworks < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:
Hello All,
My employer has a research department and they asked me for assistance in procuring SAS 9.4 . I am not conversant with it and went online to look it up.
From SAS website, it seems like it is at least a three tier system (server to end user). My queries:
- Is there anyone out there that has interacted with SAS? - Does it scale down or should I also include a server along with their request? - Are there alternatives that are not as large scale as SAS?
I look forward to your response :)
