Ladies and Gentlemen, Also note the Pavillion is an Entertainment laptop and not meant for office purposes simply because its meant to run 5-7 hrs a day max. If you force it as I have some clients you have it wont last 2 years in an office environment. I know the specs are super but you will be buying adaptors every 2-3 months (esp the cheap ones in town @ 4k) .......Go for Commercial laptops!!!! Sometimes have issues with my HP Pavillion dv5. Usually when I restart with a USB stick on it.Or if not that just tried removing the battery starting on AC or Removing it and putting it back the staring on AC.

I last used it two nights ago and it was fine. When I power on, the LEDs come on but it doesn't attempt to boot, hard drive stays strangely quiet, and the display doesn't seem to get powered. I've tried with an external display as well.
I've removed the HDD and backed up my important stuff to another machine. Looks like a HW problem but I don't think it's the mobo. Have tried the memory as well, no joy.
Ideas needed before I dismantle the whole jingamathing.
