Dear Skunks & Skunkettes, ...I was thinking, perhaps it would be possible for one of you coders to write an app that displays a real-time "thermometer" indicating the contributions that have been made thus far to the Kenyans for Kenya kitty. ...There is usually a psychological effect that makes people want to contribute more if they can see how much has been contributed so far...a "thermometer" can easily serve this purpose...perhaps this could work better on the M-PESA contributions rather than the KCB account contributions... The thermometer app can then be displayed in short intervals on TV e.g. KTN and this would be an opportunity for Safaricom/Redcross/Standard Group to also place an advert accompanying the thermometer. This way any revenue to KTN from the advert could be added to the kitty... Is it possible? Timo.
