[Skunkworks] Digital TV

i know this thread might be old but it's still relevant. if i have a digital TV tuner (TV card) and in the setup there is an option for analog or digital reception(though never tried the latter),does it mean that i don't have to buy the set-top box and can watch digital TV from my laptop? ............................................................................................. tread ye softly for on thine dreams ye tread W.B Yates
