Python/Django-Developer(s) - Nairobi - international Organisation
BACKGROUND
Our client is a multinational organisation, English-speaking environment
and is looking for some Python/Django-Developer(s) who can join the
activities of a web-application development project.
Good knowledge of Python and some experience with Django is required.
This role offers the opportunity to work in
a multicultural organization on some green field projects with a small
team where you will get involved in the full project life-cycle.
This role would be suited to an all rounded individual who is looking for a new challenge with an international organisation.
We are considering to co-locate the developers of this team for the
duration of the project in Nairobi, Kenya, but we also can consider
other arrangements, such as remotely working.
PROFILE OF THE CONSULTANT(S)
We are looking for developers who can join the activities of a
web-application development project using the following technology stack
to work in a multicultural organization:
Python: 2.7.2
Django: 1.4
Oracle / SQLLite
Linux Redhat
Good knowledge of Python some experience with Django is required.
The software engineer leading the project will conduct the interviews.
Young developers with 3+ years experience in Python , who are very
disciplined and fast learners, even if they don’t have deep experience,
will have a chance to apply also.
The developers should be familiar with
the adoption of a shared source-code repository, a ticketing system,
and test-driven development.
The architecture, design, and code review activities will be carried out by clients' software engineer
We have an immediate exigency of
allocating resources to a project starting in the next month, which is
expected to deliver a working application in 3 months (so the initial
request would be for at least a 3 to 4 months contract). After that, we
expect to have other activities for further enhancements, as well as
other projects.
We are making a strategic investment on Python/Django, therefore we are
looking for partners to augment our internal workforce and to ensure
rapidity/quality of solution development and support in the coming
years.
We expect to renew contracts with partners who succeed in accompanying us in this effort.
PLACE OF WORK, sorted by preference:
Regarding the developers’ location, we are considering to
co-locate the developers of this team for the duration of the project in
Nairobi, Kenya, but we also can consider other arrangements, such as
remotely working.
At client site in Nairobi/Kenya (branch, requesting department, place of team) or
at client site in Bangkok (IT competence centre) or
at client site in Rome/Italy (Headquarters) or
Off-site / Remote.

GENERAL
Curriculum vitae shall illustrate the specific skills relevant to this
proposal. The applicants attention is drawn to the important role that
the curriculum vitae plays in the valuation.
We would like to receive CVs of suitable candidates together with
pricing quotations, based on a hourly net rate including travel costs
for the services described.
For on-site, applicants must have a work permit.
We need to present candidates with CV and rate/hour and place of work.
A client-PM and a client-Software Engineer will interview the candidates
by phone/Skype, or when they are from Nairobi, the client would like to
arrange a personal interview instead.
The client will select the consultants based on price/quality.
Officially, the DEVs could work remotely/off-site, but it's clear that
the client has a preference for consultants working full-time on-site in
their Nairobis' premises, this will ease communication and workflow.
The consultant selected will be paid on an hourly rate.
