iDisk is also supposed to do the same thing, though it requires you to have a MobileMe account. Unfortunately, MobileMe will be discontinued mid this year.
However, MobileMe has been succeeded by iCloud, which might be free depending on which iOS or Mac OS version you run.
Use Dropbox, has worked so well for me and supports any device -
phone, tablet, laptop, PC & any vendor. I have a set of all the
documents I need on all my devices.
