ISP selection is like a circular ladder. As much as we suggest the better one thinking we are headed for best service we ironically find ourselves at the bottom with unsatisfactory service. My take is as good as tossing a coin, all of them are thieves for as much as they purport to sell "dedicated bandwidth" they NEVER. As it is am pegged to Access Kenya...I am at the bottom! Someone I know is looking for *opinions* on what ISP to go for. They've been on a 1 Mbps link from some ISP and what they are getting is far from satisfactory. So he's looking for an ISP with low downtimes, fair cost and excellent customer service. Someone has already suggested UUNET because they are now MTN... but I think that's a speculation, but it may be a correct assumption.
Your ideas are most welcome and appreciated.
