It doesn't seem to have a voltage range just 120v 50-60 Hz. At first I connected directly to the mains and though it went on there was a crackling sound at the power connection on the printer prompting further investigation. Kinda strange that the printer came with just a single cable from mains to printer no adapter or converter of any sort. Never seen such a setup before. Wound up getting a cheap converter that seems not to be worth its weight in iron. I will shop around for a better one. Thanks for the info. A lot of computer equipment and electronics sold in the US these days is dual voltage, so take a look at the power supply and see the voltage range. If it is 110-240 then all you need is a plug adapter to turn the US style plug to the Kenyan/UK one (see VP-18 on the following page http://www.voltage-converter-** transformers.com/plugadapters.**html<http://www.voltage-converter-transformers.com/plugadapters.html>). If the voltage is 110 only then you need to get a voltage converter/step down transformer. I recommend getting one that includes a voltage stabilizer as well. Even with pretty severe power fluctuations the only repair I've had to do is replace the fuse which is both easy and cheap. I've seen similar devices for sale at various shops downtown that that sell TVs as well as at the store on the ground floor of Yaya Center where they have the all the little solar lamps.

I have an american made epson printer that runs on a 120v mains. Clearly thiz wont work on our system. Has anyone encountered this on other equipment and what was your solution?
