A'way.. let me get you properly
  1. Jailbreak ... Done
  2. Was the Unlock done and if so how? Did he launch Cydia and tried to unlock via UltraSnow?

A bit of advise for anyone planning on buying a new iPhone. Always buy you phone from Apple rather than carriers such as AT&T. With the carriers, even if you pay full price, the phone will still remain locked to their network forever. Even when on contarct and the contract expire, most wil refuse to unlock. This applies to most carries, AT&T and even Orange in Kenya. Some carrier in Europe do unlock iPhone, some for a fee, some after you hassle them.

See here a story of how Tim Cook had to interve for AT&T to unlock a customer's iPhone who had moved to Canada.

Sadly Tim can't do this for everyone.

Truth be told it may never be possible again to unlock the newer phones even older phones shipping with iOS 5 and above.
