I appreciate the legal aspect that Okech brings forth, but I believe the bottom line of joining a sacco is to save and borrow money. Any borrowing would require someone to have guarantors of the loan, in this case one would need a sacco where one would know a couple of members for the mentioned purpose. Can you imagine asking a stranger asking you to be a guarantor for a loan they are taking. Therefore my opinion here would be could skunks prolly share different saccos that they are members in, and if it is possible for outsiders to join. You are better off looking for a SACCo that can accommodate you, even if it is called UNAITAS and move on with it, or go to the banks and get your money - Read the law, things done change (am talking from a perspective of someone who has started a SACCO and watched it grow to date)
