Wouldn't this be detrimental to security if a Telco were to allow someone to display a number or range of numbers other than what they have issued/assigned. Yes it is. If you set the CLID before calling Originate() on the dialplan it actually shows exactly the CLID (although sometimes it adds +254 to it) if you are using an E1 from QB.

I have recently noted one German provider who interestingly uses CLID's that resemble YuMobile numbers (075*******) for calls terminating into Kenya.
