Aaah, my favourite answer, "ït works on my computer". And the reason this answer works, is because a lazy developer can say that the server is using a different version of x, y and z. But in real life, this has bit be badly in the rear a couple of times, especially when the server is on PHP 5.2 and my dev machine is on PHP 5.3, and the server cant be upgraded for reason a, b c! Or, you develop on a windows machine and deploy to a Linux server, and forget that file names are case sensitive on Linux and not on windows...
