IS - www.is.co.ke - used to have a solution with Attix5 which allowed you to automate the backup/recovery of your data. You'd backup to a server in Nairobi, which then does atomic synchronization with one in ZA and you'd be able to recover your data from "any location" as long as you have the client software (even on your laptop) and the necessary security keys.
