what about that big outdoor thing on mombasa and thika road, do people still go there to watch "senema" from their cars?
This is but a tip of the iceberg. Piracy is weighing heavily on them with cinema goer numbers dwindling substantialy which put them on the red and they could hardly pay staff salaries.
You may have also noticed that Cinemas are no longer bringing latest movies as they used to and movies are screening for longer periods so that cinemas can break even.
The story is the same for fox theatres who are lucky that they own the 20th century building so thet rental income keeps them afloat but the sad story applies to them and heard that they may be forced to close one more theatre.
