The key thing I would think is that people would coalesce in team where they already know each other and how each works. In my experience, people do tend to work with the same set of people generally..

No need for any " comeon over to the office and sign a document" meet types. Rather, development can be done remotely. And lucky for programmers, hours are not an issue.
