On closer examination, it actually looks like the error originates from the router, but I don't get it, because I have changed the firmware. The router seems to send scrambled up data where it's supposed to send AT+F to Orange. I'll schedule nightly reboots as a temporary measure. Thanks

I would first test with a different sim card – e.g. safcom/airtel and check if that normalizes. If it does you will know it’s a problem with Orange. If you continue to get the same, it’s the router (software, port maybe?)

I get occasional disconnections on my 3G router (TP-Link MR3040) to Orange. I had to install OpenWRT which can log to a syslog server (as opposed to the stock formware) and this is what I get...
