Ok. I donnow of this sounds simplistic but in my days for this distance we'd do fiber end-to-end then have Fiber-to-Ethernet converters, and voila 100mb. Maybe Frank needs to say why it must be copper and what kind of copper 1 pair (If that is still around) or Ethernet. The more descriptive he is the better a solution he'll get. Regards Kiania D. If you must go with the copper you can use ADSL modems. Not sure if you can do 100Mbps but 10-20Mbps is practical. Contact Adwest Communciations or DDC East Africa. Sorry dont have the phone contacts.

Hi, When you say copper, do you mean twisted pair ethernet cables? I think the max you cant get out of the is 100m. The shielded more expensive cables could give u longer cable runs.... but 600m sounds even too much for that to me, especially if you really need the 300mbps.
My recommendation is that you use a wireless bridge. You can get two Nanostation M5s or M2s in town for about 9k each. They can link up on wireless-N at 300mbps, giving you 150mbps in one direction. For these devices, 600m is really short, especially if they'll be within line-of-sight of each other.
