According to Safaricom guys; it supported on windows XP and IE 8 and
above but according to me you can have on any OS and any  common
browser(Firefox, Google chrome...) or even a custom made browser.

I have installed it on Firefox on a *nix machine and works perfectly.

All you need is  the certificate(pk12 thingy).
