Actually its not a big joke. If you have international warranty all they
do is verify from your serial number that the device (laptop, ipad, etc)
is covered.
The unfortunate part is that they are not able to give you instant
replacements. You have to wait like 2 - 4 weeks and have to pay duty on
the parts. Whereas if i was anywhere in Europe or US with my
international warranty i would get a replacement part for simple stuff
like power adapters and battery replacements from the store
(immediately) at no extra costs.
My experience with Elite was as above so i ended up buying the part
since a 2 week wait without a power adapter was not realistic. But thats
how it is. They were to apply for a replacement and i would pay the 5K
GOK fee - and they never have - thats like 6 months ago. I suppose thats
how it is.
