What happened to that idea of focussing on telcos issues? I remember some of us suggesting domain names for such undertaking. Instead of taking this problem to another mailing list for solutions, let us create an platform for addressing the stuff. How many of us are members of KICTANET Mailin List? my thoughts. why I asked this, a friend told me a scenario where they went drinking in a pub and the pub accepted mpesa payments, so the guyz drowned 5k worth of beer and paid by mpesa, only for the guy to reverse back afew minutes after leaving the establishment, and from that day, tha pub doesn't accept mpesa - so should this go on, then everyone will refuse these payments and we back to square one - not ideal.
Ideal, except that your pal is ..err.. a dishonest fellow. he should be killed by stoning.

I had an arguement with someone at safcon and they didn't see the point of
having such controls - which to me is knowing that fraud can occur and not doing anything about it. Question is, as a merchant selling goods online or even from a shop, would you agree to have mpesa payments knowing these facts?
Now that portends a problem.
I suggest you raise this issue on KICTANet list. Someone there will surely listen.
