As Mark says this was solved by multiple sim cards, dual-sim phones and getting the number you want. Heavily reliant as i am on mobile data, i have had to crawl, pun intended, back to safcon. Talking of which wasn't airtel 3g supposed to roll out by end of last quarter? The other 3 telcos need to up their own game. Prayer, as a pal keeps reminding me, is not a strategy. ++++++ there's an app for that :-p On Apr 9, 2011 9:46 AM, "John Doe" <fivepings@gmail.com> wrote:
At the point when they (read airtel, orange and Yu) realise that Bonga points and Mpesa are as important as 3G, they will shake safaricom. 3G must be the starting point. Zap being the follow up. And given the base stations Airtel is rolling out are 4G capable, who knows what comes after that?

All they really need to do is roll out even half decent 3G and tell people theyll still be able to recieve money from mpesa and send to safaricom numbers... which is in fact the case, just a bit cumbersome but real.

never moved the first day .. Airtel has alot of convincing to do .. but if it plays its cards well they still have a chance and again its not a one week thing .. So peter wait ....
Hypothetically speaking - Ii the operators said that its free to move until 10th April. We may have seen some traction to beat the free deadline.
But since its not the case, i move when i move!. TIA!.
