You follow people on twitter, not hashtags. Hashtags let you tag a tweet e.g. #IranElection tags tweets on Iranian elections and anybosy can tweet about the said elections and use the hashtag. You can then choose to follow the particular person(s) who&#39;ve used the hashtag.<br>
