I believe BGP+MPLS is still the ultimate end to end solution for a lot of issues:-) most guys can't afford pure L2 services and then manage the complexity. MPLs leaves the SP to deal with those issues. Just ask the right questions....don't just go buy MPLs, or god forbid cloud because a sales drone said the magic words....
