There's also PAP -Picture and Picture. I don't know whether that concept ultimately caught on locally (if it ever did).
My PIP feature appears to be selective on what input channels I can have displayed side by side. It appears to favour the HDMI channel, which I luckily use most of the times.

That aside, I'd vouch for Samsung: I love the ecosystem they have created with the 'allshare' concept
