I have a problem. The problem is an internet connection that is on fibre as well as wireless. Now, I have one public IP address on a Cisco ASA 5500 series device. I may plug in either the cable running to the fibre switch or the cable running to the radio on the rooftop without changing the public IP address/gateway combination. But I dont want to do it manually. So my question is... (obviously), can I plug in both cables into my ASA device and have it automagically detect when the fibre link goes down (thanks to KDN) and route traffic through the wireless link. The ASA device has 4 ethernet ports, so I can use two for the outside interface and one for the inside interface then configure (if possible, of course) automatic failover for the two outside links such that the public IP address is assigned to whatever outside interface is active at any given time.
