You could have said Kenya is a failed state. When everyone rises against everyone, surely! From where do we start the solution? Its not politicians, business people stealing from us, its not us conning our children and spouses daily.

Going home everyday, our traffic snakes on Jogoo rd like a large python (not our fellow skunk), slithering to the Eastlands. Now there are some green mathree's called Forward Travellers that will zoom on the opposite lat at some 140Km/h. Impunity. While all of us are on the snaking lane, someone is endangering the patrons. No one complains. Happy? Yes!

Another day im in a "Double M", my neighbour lady is sipping yoghurt, she is done and asks please open the window for me, that I oblige. She attempts to throw the packet on the highway below to which I retort politely - "mami, sasa nani ataokota hii takataka unataka kutupa nje?", looking startled, she asks, "sasa nitupe wapi?" I answer, "tupa chini ya kiti, the bus will be swept, then washed in the evening, all the dirt in the bus will be taken to a rubbish bin. Here, the dirt is safe". She smiled and threw her garbage under her seat. The garbage is safe.

See, we have failed in our small ways. Now we see the failure amplified in government and in our politics. We need to change. Here, and now, by complaining kabisa. Because we are a failed state when we watch failure and speak no more.
