Hello @Waihiga, thanks for that but the credit goes to you for the initial thoughts. I just brought in the suggestion of a game. Allow me a few comments about this proposed project for the listers. I believe finding a long lasting solution to awareness especially at youth level in any country to be the biggest project of the times. It outbeats any project or solution that helps during a crises or after. What we are now talking about is the long term awareness that would lead to better judgements and decision making. I sincerely believe that we are now at a stage in our tech advancement to first try out our projects at home. We have problems, each and every person knows that but solutions are very difficult nor non-existent. If we can develop a model for Kenya, I believe we can do so for many countries that have to deal with youth problems similar to ours. I'm certain that the brilliant minds in kenya and especially on this list can come together on the base project. In principle am in with the project and will ensure to give it time despite my crazy schedules and not because I suggested the game but because I know we can do something using technology which is our area of speciality. How can we take this forward? Ladies and Gentlmen, the floor is open to everyone. Rgds. On Sat, Apr 10, 2010 at 2:42 PM, waihiga mwaura <waihigamwaura@gmail.com> wrote:
Hi Those are Akis thoughts.I have been mandated by a potential donor to look for ideas on how to bring about national cohesion in Kenya. Some of the questions i am looking to answer are:- (1)What binds us together as kenyans? (2)What form of technology can be accessible by a majority of youths? (3)What does national cohesion really mean to us? (4)How can we as an IT community create technologies
Lets own this project in the future it could mean change for us as a country and IT opportunities for all techies out there...So wat are you thoughst? _______________________________________________
