The govt has all the money to train these guys
on the M$ certifications. The problem would be whether they become really
competent on the platform to an extent that they can avert a disaster. I want
believe there are folks there who are really good, because otherwise it's
tantamount to "digital suicide" to deploy Windows Servers for a govt! ZA uses
Open Source software for workstations and servers, IIRC.
But also remember,
the govt entered into some deal with M$ - I don't know the details, but that may
perhaps explain why Windows Servers are being used.
From that error
there, this is Oracle on Windows, right? With PHP scripts? So there is a
recognition that FOSS can work for them, given the presence of PHP.
For
