I think the entire fiasco speaks volumes of our national security apparatus' ability to control such situations.
I think the Standard has the picture of the day! http://www.standardmedia.co.ke/InsidePage.php?id=2000001069&cid=4&ttl=Deadly protestsI've never seen this before, public using whatever means fighting alongside the gsu to contain rioters? This is a new development in kenyan riots. And further "The first group to join the police were butchers from the City Market who protested the battles had severely affected their businesses. Their customers scampered for safety when the battles started. Other passersby, attracted by gunshots and teargas, also joined the fracas, further worsening the situation." Then this : " Perhaps fatigued by the afternoon-long clashes, the police at one point became spectators, watching helplessly as youths battled each other with stones. "Youths battled each other? Huh? I thought the riot was about a demo, how on did it become a youth's fight?Me thots, pls correct as necessary.....
