I have a different view to this whole debacle by the Media Owners. I think they are throwing a tantrum becuase all of a sudden , the barrier to entry in the media business has been removed so you have all these newchannels with interesting content that can compete with theirs on the same platform.....notwithstanding the fact that they are left with expensive redundant transmission infrastructure inventory to deal with. Media is a small cartel and fragmentation of audiences is a new reality ( and nightmare) in the digital era. How they deal with this is gonna be drama in days to come. i heard somewhere that the Media council was playing hardball on this issue of licenses. They want their own license... dont know & cant verify though if these are related, cause their plan was to pull off FTA completely.
