Thanx for your replies. I know about CentOS but I wanted to try out Debian coz of the HW support. So bottom line: its OK to borrow a redhat enterprise 5.3 dvd from someone, install it on a site as long as I dont need support or updates from rhn, no? Anyone using Redhat Enterprise in a full production environment? (dumb qn, i know).
Am asking coz I want to recommend it to a client minus the support subscription or updates. I am not sure of the legal implications of installing Rhel5 software only.
Secondly, who has debian?
