Baby steps, they just started offering Kitkat, OTA updates and Octa Core in their flagships. Probably what I'd want more is better work between them their Chip manufacturer and apps developers in optimizing apps for Mediatek powered smartphones. At launch they said it starts selling in second week of July, so that could be the reason. Remember the Nairobi launch was a global launch then they avail the device, of course the launch then included conversations with retailers which had probably started the previous week.
