@George <br><br>The OS as far as i&#39;m concerned is beautiful. It is so aesthetically pleasing, it caught my eye almost instantly, i sat and toyed with it and yes, it was smoother than XP or W2k. My issue is not in line with the AV. It started with a few glitches with the Video Card albeit it&#39;s an on board VGA. Whilst typing using MS Word i heard a rather chilling scream from the room below with my name repeated frantically. For a moment there i thought someone had broken in to the house only to get to the study and find my mother worried looking at a rapidly flickering screen. <br>
<br>Kind of unnecessary and it didn&#39;t happen in earlier versions. This was an updated VGA driver from MS on the auto update function, granted things like this shouldn&#39;t bother many people, it&#39;s a &quot;usual&quot; thing. However, why put up with it? <br>
<br>It&#39;s not happened to me when i use Suse, or RH, or Fedora. Why Windows? why does something happen to the product from a Fortune 500 Company? <br><br><div class="gmail_quote">The OS is used on almost 80% of desktops around the world. <br>
<br>@Ledermann ReactOS seems like something i&#39;d try. Moving my parents ( 60+ in age ) to a different system from Windows 7 seems a bit.. cruel. They for the first time said. They Like it. <br>I&#39;d like to think they&#39;re kind of like my clients. I&#39;d rather get them satisfied with what they have at my expense and see them happy over get them upset because i changed things too much. <br>
