@wash, I have a surveillance suite which has screens for viewing the cameras whose dvr's are located about 100 mtrs from the surveillance suite. Now we need to control those dvr's using their keyboard and mouse and because the surveillance suite is so far away, we need to extend their keyboard and mouse. This can be achieved using this usb extender gadget. On both ends it has the usb ends and we use ethernet cable in between to connect the two usb extender gadgets. This was we can be able to control the dvr from the surveillance suite as if we are in the same room as the dvr's but they are about 100 mtrs away. Do you understand now?
