@Njihia, I'd like to share this with you for Mobile Dev groups out there.

In my short journey over the past 2 weeks, I've uncovered a deadly form of trade practise that Kenyan MobiDevs and all those who are genuine with protecting their ideas or software or even deployments should be aware of. At the rate Mobile Devs are pushing efforts to create a success for themselves, there will be a time when these apps will become commercial hits and will be in demand. Therefore, others will want to try and get a share of the cake using shorter methods. If it took a MobiDev 2 years between idea generation to a full success, this is a huge loss for that person because someone who lacks originality is easily able to take the same concept and process to their own benefit within a matter of weeks.

Therefore, it is very important that those who believe in IP Rights to take this matter very seriously and ensure that you will have the legal grounds to deal with many of the deadly and lethal practises by coders and their business masters. Reverse engineering of concepts, process or code in any manner whatsoever should be included in the person who takes IP Rights seriously. This is no issue of morals involved here, if you do not protect your ideas/works, you will be the big looser.

We are a developing country, there are many who will take any necessary shortcuts to achieve success but we need to ensure IP Rights tops the ICT agenda.

Some thots. :-)
