got this from ACCESS KENYA We regret to inform you that this morning the South East Asia-Middle-West Europe (SMW-4) international fibre cable has experienced an outage, affecting a significant proportion of the international fibre capacity in and out East Africa on both the SEACOM and TEAMS. The outage has been caused by a major fault between Alexandria and Jeddah. We are currently re-routing ALL our International traffic through our various links that do not travel across SMW-4. You will continue to receive service, however we anticipate Slow Speeds and High Latencies during this period. We are awaiting updates about the cause of the outage and the likely timeframe for resolution and will advise you when we have any further information. Anyone experiencing this today? What could be the issue?
Best regards, Kyalo
