Hi Humphrey, RT does not pop mails, you have to use something like fetchmail. I'll assume you have some mail server running somewhere (does not have to be the same server running RT), have the RT front end working and have created a queue called support. Do the following so that mail can be fetched from your mail server: - Install fetchmail on the server running RT - create an email account on your mail server for RT eg support@domain.co.ke - decide which user on the server running RT will run fetchmail and create a file called .fetchmailrc in that user's home folder and put the following in that file and substitute as necessary: poll a.b.c.d proto pop3: #where a.b.c.d is the ip address/domain name of your mail server username support@domain.co.ke password "12345" mda \ #where 12345 is the password "/usr/bin/perl /opt/rt3/bin/rt-mailgate --url http://rt.domain.co.ke/ --queue support --action correspond" #where --queue support is the name of the queue created in RT. Substitute the other locations as necessary ie where rt-mailgate is Then create a cron tab so that mail can be fetched say every 5 minutes. The system has been written in Perl. I have managed to intall it but have been unable to configure it to pop E-Mails.
