if my physics is correct your speeds should actually reduce due to attenuation by the wet tree leaves and interference by the lightening . . . very strange indeed

Something very strange happened today. I have an Orange Internet everywhere 3G+ modem.  The highest download speed that

I have ever got in the corner of the house that has got the best reception is around 400kbps to 600Kbps  till today. It has been raining

heavily tonight and there has been a lot of lightning . My download speeds has shot up to 1.17 Mbps to 1.4Mbps for the last hour thats its been raining. Someone please help me understand this phenomenon .Did the rain make my broadband work faster ? or did all my neighbours who share the same cell tower with me all go to bed?  Or have orange just got better overnight in the space that it started raining .
