@ Chitwa...Trying to find these will cost u time n money.. what i do is just buy the exact same drive.. or I cannot get it at all.. i move the platters to an equivalent drive size with similar number of platters n read heads then perform the recovery .. this is excruciatingly a pain in the ass. bt hell i do it. <br>

@ Chitwa... yea PCB&#39;s can be replaced if the harddisk is being undetected or it looks obviously fried and the hard drive is not powering. If its a motor seizure or stuck actuators n heads.. then we need to move platters using a multiple platter exchanger. <br>

Its only possible to fix it by moving the platters to a working harddrive or a recovery box. What u hv to do now i scan the top side of the Harddisk n send it to me. Hi Skunks,<br><br>I have a 500GB Toshiba portable hard-disk with the following symptoms<br><ol><li>Clicking noises  whenever i plug it in to my computer</li><li>I cant feel the hard-disk spin after i plug it in</li><li>it cannot be detected in either windows or linux OSes (obviously)</li>
