@Watchman: In another thread, you complain so much about those of us who tolerate the "system", and yet here you are making all sorts of excuses and apologies for Microsoft and Apple. You should move to a free (as in freedom) operating system, and bear the short-term inconvenience, because in the long term, this is the way to solve some of these problems. You see, if the hardware guys released the source code for their drivers, and if the Windows source code was publicly available to look at, then the whole community could join in to track down and fix the bugs promptly. Some of these companies just do not have enough resources or motivation to adequately maintain their software, and more importantly, to make and release fixes promptly. So, I urge you to join the cause of free software for all. Let us fight now for a better tomorrow! Joseph.
