Dear Listers, I noticed that Bulk SMS messages sent to Safaricom network now carry the suffix STOP20465 at the end of the message. On further enquiry, I was informed that any SMS will have a limit of 140 characters instead of the usual 160 characters due to the suffix text. Anyone from Safaricom to share the rationale behind this?
