In most cases, banks apply such crap to avoid lawsuits n unnecessary tussles. Plus they r governed bt CBK's kyc n some weird KBA rules.
I've two accounts with coop m @ one point, they denied me cash coz the signature was older in one of the accounts. I've never changed ever since n whenever I use the YEA acc, I askthemyo confirm with the biz one.

@mash Why does a bank treat you like a fraudster and limit you to only a signature in this time and age. there is technology that they should embrace and up their over the counter withdrawals.
Compare western union, moneygram its all about a key word or sth of the sort. Mpesa ATM and the likes its a PIN no.
Going to a bank that has you as the signatory, plus them having a photo of you. depositing ...is a piece of cake, withdrawing. Rocket science.
