If I am not wrong, the Live Hub has a storage capacity (500 GB to 2 TB) which media player doesn't have. Downside of Live Hub is that there is no WIFI, unless you buy USB wireless adapter. What I have is the latest WDTV Live with a more polished GUI and ability to install support themes, change wallpapers, faster processor, addition of several online services. Couple all this with the WDTV Android app, Good stuff!
